Can you believe that it's been 4 weeks, 4 WEEKS!!! since our big guy was diagnosed- that's CRAZY. Life has started to take on a new shape, a new norm.
As I sit here listening to my music I was reflecting on the song and it made me want to cry, scream, and gave me that feeling in my gut that made my stomach hurt something awful- But then at the same time I want to smile, and raise my hands in praise, and give thanks that there is a GOD who hears my cries, understands my pains, and helps give me the words to say to my 6 y.o. as to WHY he is going through this.
Josh Wilson's- Before the Morning:
Do you wonder why you have to
Feel the things that hurt you
If there’s a God who loves you where is He now
Maybe there are things you can’t see
And all those things are happening
To bring a better ending
Someday somehow you’ll see you’ll see
Would you dare would you dare to believe
That you still have a reason to sing
Cause the pain that you’ve been feeling
It can’t compare to the joy that’s coming
So hold on you gotta wait for the light
Press on and just fight the good fight
Cause the pain that you’ve been feeling
It’s just the dark before the morning
My friend you know how this all ends
You know where you’re going
You just don’t know how you’ll get there
So say a prayer
And hold on cause there’s good for those who love God
But life is not a snapshot
It might take a little time but you’ll see the bigger picture
Once you feel the weight of glory
All your pain will fade to memory
It’s just the hurt before the healing
Oh the pain that you’ve been feeling
It’s just the dark before the morning
He says it best with:
"Would you dare would you dare to believe
That you still have a reason to sing
Cause the pain that you’ve been feeling
It can’t compare to the joy that’s coming
So hold on you gotta wait for the light
Press on and just fight the good fight"
So.... we are, pressing on and fighting the good fight- we know God has something bigger and better for ALL of us! The pain, the hurt, the hopelessness is in no way going to overshadow the JOY that we know is coming. We just have to wait... and while we wait, enjoy the little things- the amazing family we have, the amazing church we attend, the amazing school family we have, and the people God places in our lives to "HELP" us through all of life's daily struggles.
As I've sent out to a few friends this week:
Speaks volumes for me- what about you!?!?!?
*** Life is good with these faces to look at!***
Psalm 55:22
22 Cast your cares on the LORD
and he will sustain you;
he will never let
the righteous be shaken.
